Rocky Mountain’s Skaters of the Month (May 2015)

Bob French Kiss of Death

This month the Rocky Mountain Rollergirls would like to give special recognition to Bob Loblaw and French Kiss of Death!

Bob came to RMRG in March 2010 after briefly skating with the Wreckin’ Roller Rebels rec league. She steadily and stealthily worked her way up to the 5280 Fight Club travel team where she served as co-captain during the 2014 season. At the beginning of this year she was out for a short spell to a heal a nagging foot injury. Now, though, she is back with a vengeance and has not missed a step!

French Kiss of Death started derby with RMRG in February 2013. Don’t let her quiet demeanor fool you! In the last few months she’s really stepped up her game and is an integral part of both the Sugar Kill Gang and Project Mayhem as a double threat player (blocker and jammer). Frenchie is always eager to learn and is open to feedback on the track. In her off-skates time, she is a dedicated mom and nurse – talk about taking care of ALL the business!

Congrats Bob and Frenchie! We love you both!

Hertz Lezzie

Love Hertz joined RMRG in September of 2011 but has been involved with roller derby since 2009. This year, the Contenders have welcomed her hard-hitting style and no-nonsense sensibilities to its ranks. Behind the scenes, Hertz provides guidance to various committees within the league and is a master league meeting facilitator. Thank you, Hertz, for all you do for RMRG!

In November of 2011, RMRG welcomed Lezzie Borden into the fold. Since then, she has been steadily honing her skills with Project Mayhem and most recently the Travel Team practice squad. Her positive attitude and coachability set an example on the track for newbies and vets alike!

Tater-Websized ele

The Rocky Mountain Rollergirls would like to recognize Devastator and Extinction Level Event as March’s Skaters of the Month. We admire their positive attitudes and strong work ethics on and off the track!

Devastator (who affectionately goes by “Tater”) joined RMRG in November of 2013. Tater has been steadily building a reputation for herself that is living up to her name. While her off-track persona is laid back and sweet, she is a force to be reckoned with when hitting a defensive wall!

E.L.E. came to RMRG in July of 2014 after playing with a few metro area leagues the past couple of years. She is proof positive that you can overcome whatever life throws your way with her can-do attitude and strong work ethic! Practice is a little bit brighter with E.L.E’s infectious laugh filling the air and that much tougher for the opposing jammer when she’s on the track.

RMRG is super-stoked to have both of these ladies practicing with the Travel Team and rostered on USPS and the Sugars, respectively.

Congrats, ladies!
