Rocky Mountain Rollergirls would like to recognize and show great appreciation to our latest skater of the month, Chi Chi Chong! Chi Chi celebrated one year with RMRG August 2016 and just recently stepped in to dominate a very busy and demanding position within our Bout Production committee. She has been a huge asset to this committee, recently assisting in a very successful double header at The Fillmore.

In July, Chi Chi was drafted to Dooms Daisies as well as recently having several appearances on the track with Project Mayhem. Off the track Chi Chi has become a very valued league mate, inspiration to new skaters, and friend to many.

Chi Chi is always bringing her A game and attitude to every practice and team function. She has a smile that can light up the room and makes every conversation fun and uplifting. Thank you, Chi Chi, for all of your hard work and dedication to your league and peers.

2016 Home Team Championships

While it was clear that the Red Ridin’ Hoods would be going into Championships with no losses this season; it was less certain who their competitors would be since every other team finished their season 1-2.  After tallying cumulative points scored throughout the year we are ready to announce the Championship games!

Red Ridin’ Hoods will be taking on their original rivals Sugar Kill Gang in a fight for first place. Will the Red Ridin’ Hoods hold onto their title?

Red Ridin’ Hoods vs Sugar Kill Gang

Get warmed up by watching the fight for third place when Dooms Daisies take on United States Pummeling Service.  Is USPS doomed or will they deliver the mail?

Tickets are available at the door for $12, and kids 12 and under get in free to this family friendly event.

Plentiful bleacher seating is available, or you are welcome to enjoy the action trackside (bring your own camp chairs, or sit right on the floor in the Booty Zone).

RMRG merch will be available, as well as delicious bake sale goods courtesy of Rocky Mountain Rollerpunks, our juniors’ league.

Skater of the Month: Daveinci

This month, the Rocky Mountain Rollergirls would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Dave Wood. Dave began his relationship with Rocky as a photographer and quickly became more involved as an official and eventually as the head coach of Fight Club and the travel team as a whole. He is kind, fair, and hilarious. He has dedicated countless hours in training the entire league and other officials. He has shown an unwavering passion for the game and to Rocky Mountain that no one can deny. Most recently this was witnessed when he lead Fight Club to playoffs in Montreal. It was truly apparent how much he loves the team.

Thank you so much for everything you do Dave, we could not ask for a better coach or friend!
